Juárez and Associates worked with the Academy for Educational Development by providing three technicians for a four-person team to assess the impact of PRONEBI (Programa Nacional de Educación Bilingüe) in Guatemala. The three specialists included the Chief of Party/Education Administration Specialist, the Anthropologist/Statistician, and the Instructional Materials Specialist.
The team carried out the evaluation using a multi-method design which included: statistical analysis of existing quantitative data; extensive interviews with parents, teachers and administrators; and observations of student and teacher interactions in the classroom.
The evaluation was funded by USAID/Guatemala under the LAC/DR/EST Education and Human Resources Technical Support (EHRTS) Project.
